We do not trust giving our hard earned money to any individual or organization. Recent Reports about charitable organizations have not been positive. When there is no accountability and then there is no trust. A decline in trust is perhaps unsurprising in light of such negative, high-profile stories. It is important to remember that the majority of the public still consider most charities to be trustworthy, but that doesn’t mean we should be complacent – and we ought to be concerned by any decline in the reputation of the charitable sector.
At St Xavier’s LP School, we never had a donation drive till now. We, all along, survived at the mercy of the Government of Kerala and the meager handout from the Parish. No attempt was mad to improve the condition of the School or its students. It is changing now. A new School was built with the help of the Parishioners. And generous gifts from one of the family in Kuruppanthara have made amazing changes and that catapulted our School and its classrooms into one of the best in the State. Also, first time in its 112 years history, St Xavier’s LP school is inviting generous donations for future projects from its sons and daughters worldwide. An impartial board of three members will lead the effort.
All decisions are made by the board. These Three individuals are collectively responsible for administering the funds. Transparency and Accountability are the key stone of the structure. A monthly report of all funds received - with name, address and amount received will be posted on this web site. Also includes School related expenses.
